Bowdens is a family business run by Tim and Ruth Penrose. It is located in the village of Sticklepath on the northern edge of Dartmoor, Devon. Specialising in hostas, Bowdens is regarded as one of the leading hosta nurseries in the UK. The nursery has exhibited at RHS Chelsea Flower Show since 1996 and been awarded a number of RHS Gold medals. As well as hostas, the nursery specialises in bamboos, ferns and agapanthus.
