This garden explores how a small space can carry a sense of story - where memory, imagination and everyday life overlap. Inspired by family adventures that begin in the garden, the design reflects the anticipation of discovery and exploration, where movement through the space feels open-ended and imagination is free to wander. Planting is shaped into two distinct yet connected areas, reflecting a journey from familiar to the imagined. One side is rich and generous, rooted in the language of a traditional cottage garden, with perennials, grasses and shrubs layered full to the brim. The other softens into a woodland-inspired space, where planting becomes open and atmospheric, echoing the textures and quiet beauty of a woodland floor. At its heart, a specimen tree, swing and circular clearing of wildflowers create a place to pause. This is a garden that invites curiosity, encourages shared discovery, and creates moments of connection across generations.
