About this garden
The story
A Garden in Pieces explores the role our private gardens play within a much larger living network.
Set within three open metal cubes, the installation presents a series of small garden fragments, each one showing how planting, shelter, water and habitat can support wildlife in domestic spaces.
Together, the cubes form part of a wider biodiverse jigsaw, reminding us that gardens do not exist in isolation. When connected through planting, shared habitats and wildlife-friendly boundaries, they become vital corridors for birds, insects, amphibians and mammals.
This garden celebrates the collective power of small spaces, showing how individual gardens, joined together, can become something far greater.
