About this garden
The story
This modern Japanese garden, which has been inspired by British and Japanese design philosophies, illustrates how we can find beauty and joy in the every day, and in simple things. Natural materials and a limited plant palette draw attention to the rewarding joy of gardened spaces.
The garden features a mix of foliage plants – Acer palmatum, Pinus mugo, Miscanthus sinensis and Euonymus microphyllus – with a single seasonal plant providing a pop of colour and additional interest. Focusing on this flower provides enjoyment of ‘being in the here and now’.
