Once upon a time, I dedicated three decades to serving with Avon and Somerset Police, helping piece together countless stories and seeking the truth in every detail. In 2016, I made the bold decision to trade my badge for gardening boots and enrolled on a garden design course, nurturing my love for creativity and nature. Taking a leap of faith, I found myself exhibiting a Beautiful Border at BBC Gardeners' World Live where my efforts were rewarded with a gold medal, a moment of pride. Ten years have passed and my garden design studio has flourished, culminating in this border, my tenth show garden. This milestone coincides with Winnie the Pooh's100th anniversary, a storybook character who inspired my first show garden. Reflecting on my journey, I am proud that retraining allowed me to follow my dreams and transform my career, proving it's never too late to blossom into something new
