Bible Society: Psalm 27 Garden

The Bible Society: Psalm 27 Garden featured at RHS Tatton Park Flower Show in July 2023. The garden featured as part of the prestigious RHS Young Designer of the Year Award and was awarded a Silver Medal. You can find out more about the garden here. Through its planting and construction, the Psalm 27 Garden is designed to evoke ideas of protection, reflection, guidance, and courage, evoked both by the psalm and churchyards. The yew gateway speaks powerfully of Christian hope, as yew is a symbol of immortality and a common churchyard feature. A stone structure recalls the idea of mortality, while the pillars are markers on the way through grief, standing as reassurance that there is a pathway forward. An overshadowing tree offers protection to those beneath it, while meadow planting promotes calmness and reflection.
