60° East – A Garden between Continents blends the planting palettes of Europe and Asia in a garden design that pays homage to the unsurpassed beauty of Russia’s Ural Mountain landscapes. It includes references to peaks, forests, rivers and slopes. Inspired by a garden in the heart of the metropolis of Yekaterinburg, Russia's fourth largest city, located east of the Urals, the mountain range that divides Europe from Asia, 60° East is a green jewel set amid towering architecture. Visitors will discover what grows in a climate with annual lows of -20°C, and may be surprised by some familiar plants. Filled with joyous colour, this magnetically inviting place invigorates the soul and calms the mind, drawing the visitor in to view a journey that leads them towards tumbling cascades and a pool that is overshadowed by graceful willow, cloud-pruned pine trees and vast rocks.
