Fairy Garden

Once upon a time, I was a young child of 6 or 7 who had an infatuation with fairies! I would build them mini gardens at the bottom of my grandmother's garden. They would include sticks and stones, shiny things, pools of water, snail shells, flowers and the occasional worm! Today I am 29 and still love building gardens. I have, however replaced the snail shells and worms for shrubs and perennials. I feel this design plays on a fond memory that I often look back on when I think about how far I have come in life. I still design with escapism in mind and my favorite worlds involve fantasy realms, colours and unusual textures. Just like 6 year old me I have created this design with a mix of materials. Plants, wood, metal and glass.
