Cultivating connections immediately made me think of the connections we create with our families and neighbours through the garden spaces we share.
I based the design around this shared boundary, using a low dry stone wall filled with planting pockets and a fence with vertical herb planters and a wildlife highway.
Using companion planting with pollinator friendly plants helps to create a space where families can connect with nature through the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of the world around us.
