About this garden

The story

Inspired by the beautiful colours, stripes and spots of the Garden Tiger moth, ‘Garden Tigers’ shows how we can all make small but powerful changes to reverse the declining number of moths, butterflies and other pollinators in our gardens. Key plants in our garden include Galium verum, Jasminum officinale and Digitalis, which provide habitat, as well as food for caterpillars and nectar for butterflies, moths and bees. Three ‘stripes’ rise out of the border as upright bee posts, which also support nectar-rich climbers; and a water bowl provides an essential ‘spot’ for pollinators and other garden visitors on warm days.
