Once upon a time, we all learned how to be gardeners. Our Beautiful Border charts the path of how so many of us learned our craft as home gardeners but also as students following in the venerable footsteps of so many who studied at Rodbaston, a college that has been part of the nation's evolving relationship with horticulture for over a century.
Whether in the vegetable patch or sowing our first annual seeds, the gift of a cutting or first day learning on the job, we have all grown along with the gardens we tend. As a class, we've benefitted from the whole history of horticultural development. We've explored gardening for food, for aesthetics, for health, and for a sustainable future! The techniques may evolve to suit the needs of the era, but the lessons we've learned- and our journey ahead- have left a mark in our border.
