The platform slips away, our eyes explore, The fields through which we slice our racing arcs, On our adventure to some distant shore. Towards the blooms of well-kept seaside parks, Or wild seas, and waving grass and sand, And wind gnarled trees with lovely weathered barks. To airports and far garden wonderlands, Of sun-baked colours sharply shining out, To houseplants resting in their native lands, To memories we wouldn't be without. This border celebrates the adventure of summer holiday train travel. A steel arc of track carries us though planting which celebrates both the British seaside and more exotic destinations. The planting design came out of work as a station adopter with the Greater Anglia network, developing reliable planting for sun-baked station platforms where watering was difficult.
