About this garden

The story

Small steps, big discoveries.

Designed as a celebration of children's natural curiosity, the Little Explorers Garden invites young visitors to play, learn and connect with the outdoors. This feature garden encourages hands-on exploration, with spaces to investigate wildlife, discover textures and colours, and enjoy imaginative play in nature.

The garden blends playful elements with gentle educational prompts, helping children understand the world around them while building confidence and creativity. From wildlife-friendly planting to interactive features, Little Explorers is a joyful reminder that the garden is one of the best classrooms there is. Created for the BBC Gardeners' World Autumn Fair, this space champions outdoor learning, family connection and the simple magic of discovering nature together.
