The one thing I think we all forget as we get older is that there is never truly a limit to our imagination and things can still be fun no matter what age you are. My garden captures a glimpse into the journey I take as a creative, a designer and most importantly - how I kept true to the believes young me had. It mixes the things I would have treasured as a child and how I can bring those forward to my adult life but how whilst the style, materials and appearance have changed, you can still see the true meaning of them (Like my bronze statue Little Tikes car - you wouldn't expect to see that in a show garden but actually⦠Why not?!) A working train drives through the garden, through the stone waterfall, under the building blocks, around the tikes statue and across the whimsical wooden bridges. Theres a detail in every corner and you just want to keep exploring. Just like the inner child in us all. The train isn't the only thing with a bridge. I will also be adding a bridge over the whole border. An homage to exploration by being able to actually cross the border, over the water and the fairy tale world beneath you. This is a garden for adults and children alike, planted up with hardy perennials to only maintain the longevity that is my goal to always keep the inner child alive in my life
