The combination of beautiful ornamental and edible planting provides both a sanctuary and a source of the very best in flavours and nutrition. At the heart of the garden is a working kitchen and adjoining dining area, where guests can enjoy meals prepared with ingredients from the potager and walled garden beyond - a first for Chelsea and a true 'from plot-to-plate' experience. Visitors to this tranquil retreat can rest under a mature tree, taking time to reconnect with nature, enjoying the formal planting, while anticipating the tasting experience to come. Environmentally sensitive hard landscaping materials such as reclaimed brick, pantiles, Yorkshire flagstone and cement-free concrete form the structure of this sustainable garden, which after Chelsea will go on to be used to teach cookery skills to young people at a residential centre in Nottinghamshire.
