About this garden
The story
The design creates a climate resilient coastal pocket by selecting appropriate plant species for place – Jaywick Sands on the North Essex coast. Found shoreline objects used as sculptural elements, further celebrate this resilient community.
The garden intends to create a coastal atmosphere, by evoking the colour and textures of the sea, inspired by the extreme conditions of the site and the vulnerable coastal community of Jaywick. This links the Sponsor's objective of promoting the use of renewable wind energy, providing a sustainable, climate resilient future.
