An exciting and unique opportunity to work with a start-up garden design and plants business following investment from Dragon’s Den.
Initially, this role is offered on a part-time freelance basis, with scope to develop into a permanent position as the company grows.
Role and Responsibilities
Interpret client briefs and manage client relationships
Create, edit, and personalise planting plans using pre-prepared templates, with oversight from our Lead Designer
Source plants from our network of partner nurseries, including managing orders, delivery schedules, and substitutions
Attend client sites and act as the face of the brand
Manage finances, including reconciliation of planting budgets
Potential future involvement in business development, including content creation, website development, marketing, and PR
Skills Required
Recognised garden design qualification (candidates currently in training will be considered)
Passion for plants and design, with strong core plant knowledge
Strong technical skills, including Photoshop, InDesign, Vectorworks, SketchUp, and Google Docs
Excellent interpersonal skills
Flexible, reliable, and confident, with strong problem-solving abilities
Full, clean driving licence (ideally with experience driving vans)
Salary and Benefits
£30 per hour on a freelance basis, with scope for future negotiation
