Garden Designer / Landscape Architect

Main Purpose of the Job
As Garden Designer / Landscape Architect, you will support the design and delivery of our high-quality landscape projects, as well as contribute to the development and growth of the design studio.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate on the development of landscape design concepts and proposals

• Create 3D CAD models and presentations of the studio’s designs

• Produce technical design information, including specifications, scale drawings, planting plans, and construction details

• Attend site visits and meetings as required, representing the company with professionalism

• Communicate with clients and collaborators as required, including handling new client enquiries

Key Skills and Qualifications Required

• Degree or Diploma in Garden Design or Landscape Architecture, or equivalent professional experience

• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in residential landscape design; experience within other design studios preferred

• Strong software skills: proficiency in SketchUp, Vectorworks 2D, and Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) is essential; proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign (or Affinity Publisher and Affinity Photo) is desirable

• Proven ability to develop creative design proposals with clear and persuasive presentations

• A sound foundation in landscape construction, including the design of bespoke hard landscape elements

• Strong plant knowledge, with creative and practical planting design skills

• Relevant project management and coordination experience

• Current full UK driving licence and own vehicle, as the role requires travel to site and in-person meetings

• Eligibility to work in the UK, with fluency in spoken and written English
