Garden Designer / Landscape Architect
Main Purpose of the Job
As Garden Designer / Landscape Architect, you will support the design and delivery of our high-quality landscape projects, as well as contribute to the development and growth of the design studio.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate on the development of landscape design concepts and proposals
Create 3D CAD models and presentations of the studio’s designs
Produce technical design information, including specifications, scale drawings, planting plans, and construction details
Attend site visits and meetings as required, representing the company with professionalism
Communicate with clients and collaborators as required, including handling new client enquiries
Key Skills and Qualifications Required
Degree or Diploma in Garden Design or Landscape Architecture, or equivalent professional experience
Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in residential landscape design; experience within other design studios preferred
Strong software skills: proficiency in SketchUp, Vectorworks 2D, and Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) is essential; proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign (or Affinity Publisher and Affinity Photo) is desirable
Proven ability to develop creative design proposals with clear and persuasive presentations
A sound foundation in landscape construction, including the design of bespoke hard landscape elements
Strong plant knowledge, with creative and practical planting design skills
Relevant project management and coordination experience
Current full UK driving licence and own vehicle, as the role requires travel to site and in-person meetings
Eligibility to work in the UK, with fluency in spoken and written English

Excellent communication skills — graphic, verbal, and written — along with strong time and workload management skills
