We are hiring a junior garden designer who is also a dab hand at studio admin, plant setting out and generally making themselves very useful. A great opportunity for a designer early in their career who needs flexible working hours and enjoys London gardens. This is a part-time freelance role 2-3 days per week, with the potential to develop into a full-time position as the studio grows. We are open to flexible working hours and some work from home. This is a hybrid role both junior designer and admin support: Project and Studio Coordinator - Oversee plant, furniture + accessory orders - Organise studio samples, photographs + drawings - Answering enquiries Design Support - Assist with Vectorworks, SketchUp and Adobe InDesign - Site visits, nursery visits; measuring, photographing + taking notes. - Plant setting out Marketing & Communications - Liaising with print media and garden writers - Updating Press Releases This is a job for someone: - organised, friendly, who loves ticking things off a list - with a formal garden design or landscape architecture qualification - fluent in Vectorworks, SketchUp + Adobe InDesign - who likes Canva, Calendly, Excel - has 1 - 2 years experience in garden design - comfortable managing suppliers, and keeping projects on track - unflappable, resourceful, and enjoys a mix of structure and spontaneity - loves gardens, design, and the feeling of seeing a project come to life - ideally drives and is based locally Please email your CV, Portfolio, Cover Letter + Salary Expectation to info@joannaarchergardendesign.com
