MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
As Senior Garden Designer / Senior Landscape Architect you will have a leading role in the design and delivery of our highquality landscape projects, as well as the development and growth of the design studio itself.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collaborate and lead on the development and implementation of landscape design concepts and proposals
• Create 3D CAD models and presentations of the studio’s designs, delivering client presentations where relevant
• Produce technical design information e.g. specifications, scale drawings, planting plans, construction details, etc.
• Attend site visits and meetings as projects require, representing the company with professionalism
• Client and collaborator communication and meetings as required, including handling new client enquiries
KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
• Degree / Diploma in Garden Design or Landscape Architecture, or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum 5 years’ work experience in residential landscape design, experience within other design studio(s) preferred
• Strong software skills: proficiency in SketchUp, Vectorworks 2D, and Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) is essential;
proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign (or Affinity Publisher and Affinity Photo) is desirable
• Proven ability to produce creative, imaginative landscape designs with clear and persuasive design presentations
• Excellent knowledge of landscape construction, including design of bespoke hard landscape elements
• Excellent plant knowledge with proven creative and practical planting design skills
• Strong experience in the management and coordination of landscape design projects at all project cycle stages
• Current and full UK driving licence and own vehicle, as the job requires travel to site and other in-person meetings
• Eligibility to work in the UK, with fluency in spoken and written English
