Charlie Hawkes is a UK-based landscape designer creating atmospheric gardens that reflect the unique character of each site. After three years at Tom Stuart-Smith’s studio, he established his own practice in 2020.
His work has been recognised with gold medals at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2022 and 2023, with Best All About Plants Garden and Best Sanctuary Garden awards respectively. He was named House & Garden’s Rising Star Garden Designer of the Year in 2022.
A passionate gardener, Charlie has hands-on experience at Dan Pearson’s Tokachi Millennium Forest in Japan, Great Dixter, and Gravetye Manor. Combined with a Masters in Landscape Architecture from Edinburgh College of Art, his approach blends thoughtful design with a deep connection to nature.
