 Tone & Manner garden design was founded by award winning garden designer and gardener Hamzah-Adam Desai Prior to this I spent 21 years working as a graphic designer and I am a graduate of Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design. I retrained as a garden designer at Capel Manor College and graduated in 2021 where I was awarded The Gardeners Company Prize for exceptional horticultural studies by the Worshipful Company of Gardeners of London. Having a firm grounding in design I combine my love of gardening and plants with spatial design. No two clients are the same and my designs are tailored to each client as it is important to understand and listen to your ideas to establish your vision. I create innovative contemporary gardens for people to enjoy and spend time in – gardens are for people. I love plants and my aim is to create climate-friendly gardens which work in our ever-changing climate which have a positive benefit on wildlife as well as my clients mental and physical wellbeing. I am also a keen gardener and passionate about community focused gardening. I have been gardening an award winning community garden since 2009 in East London where I also live.
