Before returning to the UK in 2011, Katy worked with some of Australia and Ireland’s most notable designers. Having graduated in Garden Design at Ryde Horticultural College in Sydney and then in Horticulture at Merrist Wood College, Katy’s approach marries southern hemisphere influences with a deep understanding of the great British and Irish horticultural and garden design traditions. Aspiring to make a difference to the way we use our garden space, Katy prides herself on offering inspiring solutions whilst using sustainable products, respecting the ecological balance of a site and providing homes for wildlife. At the heart of all of Katy’s designs is placing architecture in the context that is deserves whilst capturing the ‘spirit’ of a garden, with the ultimate ambition of ensuring more time is spent outside.
