Since then she has been running Chiltern Garden Design as a flourishing design practice, focusing on the Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Oxfordshire areas of the Chiltern Hills. In 2023, she achieved MSGD status, (fully registered member of the Society of Garden Designers), one of only a couple of hundred MSGDs in the country, representing and promoting the highest standards in garden design. She’s also an accredited designer member of the Association of Professional Landscapers (MAPL), giving you peace of mind that you’re working with a true professional.
At the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2024, Sam brought her design inspiration for a Water Saving Garden to life, winning plaudits from industry experts, designers, commentators and the general public, as well as a Bronze Medal from the RHS.
Her passion is creating gardens to suit the needs and lifestyle of her clients, never imposing a one-size fits all solution, but finding a style and scheme to fit the complex needs of busy people.
Sam has lived in the Chilterns for years, falling in love with its rolling hills, gorgeous old market towns and ancient beech woods full of bluebells in the spring. She’s now made Amersham her home, having also lived in Great Missenden, Wendover and Chesham. Chiltern Garden Design covers the whole Chilterns area including Chesham, Great Missenden, the Chalfonts, Chorleywood and Rickmansworth, Wendover and Chesham Bois.
