Yaniv Korman
Yaniv's upbringing amidst the meadows and olive groves of the Ayalon Valley cultivated a deep interest in storytelling, permaculture, and ethnobotany. During his undergraduate studies at the College of the Atlantic, Yaniv restored the Sunken Garden, a journey that propelled him toward a master's degree at Cornell University. Under the guidance of Professor Kathryn Gleason, he learned to uncover forgotten horticultural practices and discover buried gardens. Post-graduation, he applied his expertise as an ancient garden researcher, collaborating with archaeologists to study and reconstruct gardens spanning various periods and locations. Before moving to the UK, Yaniv worked in Maine as a stone mason tender, gardener, historical garden researcher, and designer for landscape architect Dennis Bracale. He also gained experience working on public projects at various scales with Urbanof and Sack & Reicer in Tel Aviv, and with Deborah Nevins and Starr Whitehouse in NYC. Yaniv joined Tom Stuart-Smith in 2023.
