The RHS Malvern Spring Festival 2025 takes place from May 8 to 11 at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern, Worcestershire, embracing the theme "Plants & People" to highlight the deep-rooted connection between horticulture and human well-being. This year introduces a brand-new category of RHS-judged Indoor Plant Gardens, with standout entries pushing the boundaries of interior plant design. "A Reflection of Nature" by Growtropicals, Claire Lowrie, and Ben Newell wins Best in Show, beautifully merging the wild textures of a jungle with the calm of a domestic living space to demonstrate how natural habitats can inform modern indoor gardening. Another striking entry, "Neo Flora" by Megan Warren-Davis and John Tallis, reimagines a cyberpunk-style bedroom as a haven of greenery, underlining the role of houseplants in enhancing mental health and emotional resilience.
Outdoors, eight impressive Show Gardens take center stage. "Biosis: Mode of Life" by Humble-Bee Gardeners claims top honors, winning Best Outdoor Show Garden, Best Construction, and the RHS Environmental Innovation Award for its sustainable materials, recycled elements, and biodiversity-focused planting. Kate Mason’s "The Hierarchy of Plants," inspired by Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, captures the public’s imagination and earns the People's Choice Award with its vibrant, layered planting that celebrates both beauty and psychological enrichment. Other notable designs include "St Godwald’s Retreat" by Marc Harbourne-Bessant, a serene sanctuary for reflection and mindfulness, and "The Sleep in Beauty Garden" by Ian McBain, which invites visitors to embrace the peaceful joy of sleeping outdoors beneath a living roof.
With around 98,000 visitors over four days, the RHS Malvern Spring Festival 2025 delivers a dynamic mix of garden design, educational workshops, expert talks, artisanal markets, and family-friendly entertainment, reinforcing its reputation as one of the UK’s most cherished horticultural events.
