This border is inspired by the rich tapestry of species that exist at the edge of habitats. Egeland environments are where two habitats connect and host a particularly diverse range of flora and fauna, characteristic of both spaces. We have created a 'forest edge' garden that draws inspiration from two ecologically important habits - broadleaved woodlands and wild meadows. We hope we highlight the many relationships within these ecosystems, including the often overlooked micro connections. We hope to demonstrate that even the smallest of spaces can provide the conditions to support features of both and inspire biodiverse gardens.
